Italian Macaroons

 

2 cups blanched whole almonds

     (finely ground to almond paste)

yeilds about 1 ½ cups of Almond Paste

1 cup sugar

2 egg whites

1 1/4 tsp. almond extract

 

     Combine ingredients, place spoonfuls of dough on greased

and floured cookie sheet, and sprinkle with some sugar.  Bake at 350ºF for approximately 20 minutes.
