IRENE'S COFFEE CAKE

 

Cake

1/2 pound butter

3 eggs

1 cup sugar

2 1/2 cups flour

1 stp baking soda

3 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup sour cream

 

Topping

1 cup nuts

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

 

     Cream butter with sugar and eggs.  Add in flour, salt

baking powder, baking soda and flour slowly while still

creaming.  Add sour cream and beat well.

     In separate bowl, add nuts, sugar and cinnamon for

topping.

 

     Line 9" x 13" oblong pan with wax paper or baking

parchment paper.  Add half of the batter, top with nut

mixture, repeat.  Bake at 375°F for approximately

35 minutes.
